We’re standing here today in one of my listings in the Bronzeville community, which starts as far north as 26th Street and extends south as far as 48th Street. Bronzeville consists of the Douglas community as well as Grand Boulevard.

There is a lot of elegance and history behind Bronzeville. For example, jazz musicians and famous music producers like Quincy Jones grew up here.

That’s not to mention the location: Bronzeville is essentially smack-dab in the center between Lakeshore Drive and Guaranteed Rate Field, which is right off 35th Street on the other side of the Dan Ryan Expressway (not even a mile from here). It only takes about 15 minutes to get to the Downtown area, and the public transportation makes it very easy to get into the city of Chicago.

There is a ton of new construction in the area, as well as residential and commercial properties. You’ll find plenty of great schools, restaurants, and shopping districts in the area—you just can’t beat the placement of this amazing community.

"We finally sold our home, that was on the market on and off for the past three years or so. We signed up in may and by october it was sold! What I want to highlight with Vergis is that he consistently checked in with us each week. We had other realtors, and Vergis was the only one that called. "The result was a positive one, we sold the house. He came on time the first time that we setup an appointment. He was very professional, he wasn’t pushing us, he gave us what I felt was an honest assessment. And what was really nice about working with him, he recognized that we had a different opinion initially, we thought the house would sell for more than what it would really sell for, and it was hard. He could recognize that our assessment was not necessary in line with his assessment. But even though he saw that we were kind of frustrated about the reality sinking in, he was always really patient. He worked with us for a 6 month period, he held open houses, he showed us how he was marketing the property and he was very accessible. We just wanted wanted to take the house of the market, but a year later when we put it back on the market he was professional. He just worked with us.

We had a tenet who was evicted and we were out of the state by that point, Vergis was very helpful. He went to the property when we couldn't. He was very patient, he came on the day of the eviction, he spent a couple hours there with us to help us find someone to fix damages, help assessing the property and just making sure we wouldn’t be alone during that difficult time. I don't think that was in his job description, but he did it. He really went out of his way to drive by the property and check on it because we were out of state and didn’t have the time or the money to have someone else check on it. He, or one of his staff, regularly drive by and just check on the property. I thought that was above and beyond what I thought a realtor would do."
